PLN15 Kid shot

In the article Robbery suspect killed by Aurora cop "a kid was shot for running out of a house and pointing a gun at police" authorities said. "Neighbors called the cops about a possible drug dealing at the house and have complaining for quite some time" said one neighbor. He said " I've called and reported it four times". They thought it was a drug deal because they said they saw a white car come and go. A woman came to the home and spoke to police. "I need for someone to tell me my son is OK," she said to police. A man came to the same home and yelled at police.
"That's my house," he yelled. "Ya'll shot my little brother. My little brother is dead."



This article relates to me because one day when I was having and air soft war down at a creek a cop pulled me over because he saw me with a metal stock of a gun sticking out of my backpack with a ski mask in my pocket. He told me to get on my knees and stick my hands out. he came up and emptied my backpack and told me sorry for the misconvienence. I'm glad I didn't get shot.

PLN12 Rabies...

In the the Denver news it had an article called Pseudo rabies found in Mesa County and this article caught my attention.
Nov.17 state wildlife and agriculture officials transported 20 exotic sheep and 16 feral hogs. The driver was headed to the Little Creek Ranch which is a National Forest hunting reservation."It is illegal to transport that type of hog in the trailer" officials said. 14 of the hogs that were in that trailer were carrying pseudo rabies. A contagious viral disease that poses threats to livestock, wildlife and pets. Dr. Keith Roehr, the assistant state veterinarian, said authorities intervened before the infected animals could pose a threat to other animals. Authorities moved the hogs to a non-domestic area where they would be quarantined until further tests and examinations are taken place. Now Little Creek Ranch have been ordered to take fencing requirements so if theirs anymore wild boars that they won't get out.
This article relates to me because I have 20-30 pigs on my dad's ranch. All of our pigs are tamed except for one and its only because she's guarding her only baby pig left because she accidentally killed the rest of them and their was 9. She acts likes she has rabies most of the time but were pretty sure she doesn't have rabies.

A motorcycle crash took place in Colorado Springs. 23-year old Charles Galloway was riding with his friend 22-year Michael Stansberry. Charles lost control of his vehicle and hit a curb, he was thrown off his bike and hit a pole. He was transported to a hospital and died shortly after that day.Authorities said no use of drugs or alcohol were used at the time. Michael Stansberry was not hurt.
This topic relates to me because my grandpa died in a motorcycle crash. One day my grandpa was riding his motorcycle to work and some girl teen driver accidentally hit him and he was thrown off his bike into a river dam and he died. My grandma would of sewed the girl but seeing how young she was my grandma thought if she did her life would be miserable and poor. But now they are good friends and talk to each other every now and then.

PLN13 War&Economy

This subject has more to do with me explaining, and talking about our Economy and the war we're in.
Our Economy is very low right now. Its mainly because we are buying goods from China, and we're not selling them in the U.S. or anywhere else. It also has to do on us spending money on the war in Iraq. I agree that we should stop the war, but if we do they will think we are weak and they'll keep attacking. The U.S. mail sent out a movie called Obsession, it explains how Islams don't give up and how their obsession is us. The main reasons why they hate us is because of western industrialization, we are white, and we are the most powerful Nation. They talk about Islams and how all they want to do is kill us.

I'm talking about these topics because when Obama becomes president he's going to pull our troops out and the Islams are going to think we are weak and they're going to attack us. But that's my opinion. And no matter how much we fight them, they will always terrorize us and everyone else.

Snowed-in elk hunters escape mountain meadow PLN10

Charles Boso the third and William Mark Boso were snowed in Glenwood springs mountains. They had a pick-up truck that they were traveling in and then they got stuck. The truck was a ford-350. Sgt. Pat Darrow of the Rio Blanco Sheriff's Department said "the men were scheduled of their hunting trip on Friday and that they were exhausted. They escaped the mountains before search partys found them.

This escape from the mountains reminds me of the time my dad and I were trapped in a camp while we were dove hunting.

PLN (8) Train hits 3 rocky ford residents in a SUV

A Friday afternoon three people were hit by a train. DeVonna Griffin, 17, 19-year-old Krystal Griffin and 66-year-old Joan Griffin were the victims of a freight train going an average of 55 mph. DeVonna Griffin was the driver and Krystal was the passenger, they were both sisters and Joan Griffin was their grandmother sitting in the back seat. The sisters had their seat belts on but Joan (their Grandmother) did not. Devonna was hit first from the train and then their blue Dodge Durango spun clockwise and landed on the passengers side ( Krystal's side). The train didn't stop until a quarter mile down the road. The engineer, Chris Sherwood, 30, along with his conductor, Jonathan Tutsch, 30, and brakeman, Jason Wilson, 28, all of La Junta, were not hurt. The train was transporting cars to Denver,“It was doing local pickups,” said Steve Forsberg, spokesman for Burlington Northern.

People should take more consideration when they see a yield or stop sign in front of any road, railroad track, or a simple construction site. Joan Griffin was 66 years old, she should of known to wear a seat belt. Seat belts can help a lot, ex specially in a car wreck. Seeing that the three died even though two of them were wearing a seat belt it probably wouldn't matter in a train wreck seeing the train weighs more than the car. I've been in countless wrecks in my friends dune buggy and seat belts really do help and everyone should wear them.

PLN7 (Aurora murder fugitive captured in Kansas)

A article called Aurora murder fugitive captured in Kansas was in the Denver post this morning and I had connections to it.
It is about a guy named Tommy Lee Halfacre. He was accused first-degree murder, with a fatal shot in the head of Carlos Rene Ortiz Orellana, said Gerard McCann a spokesman for U.S. Marshalsn service in Denver. Halfarce said he was going to "jack" Orellana. Orellana said he didn't have any money, and that's when Halfarce shot Orellana in the head. "Brandon Evans was an accomplice of the murder", McCann said. Brandon turned himself in and was convicted of 45 years in prison. Halfarce was then listed in Colorados top 20 fugitives, which he avoided by staying with his mother and living with street gangs. Halfarce was captured and his aliac Kevin White. Authorities arrested them on Halloween. Now they are in the T.V. show "Americas most wanted"
My connections were, if you ever have a friend that did something bad, you shouldn't help them out and you should tell someone about them. I had a friend that broke a Kind Soopers window with his sling-shot and we both ran because we were scared. About 2 hours later we got pulled over and he asked if we were the ones who broke a window down on Holly. My friend said "no", but I had to say something so I told him yes. The cop let me go for confessing but my friend had to pay a $400 dollar fine.

Denver crowd goes wild for McCain(PLN5)

McCain & Palin both came to the Denver's National Western Arena here in Colorado. Four thousand people came to the speech, including John Elway and John Lynch. John Elway explained that "its fourth-quarter and some have counted you out. But I know a thing or two about comebacks." John Elway's speech inspired others such as fan's of his to vote. Obama wants to raise taxes and take away Amendment two which will take away all guns in America. McCain wants to do the complete opposite. This President Election matters a lot because it decides who is the leader of our Nation and "he" will decide this Country's fate. If McCain become president we might not get out of the war with Iraq but if Obama becomes president our Economy will be poor and certain rights of ours will be taken away. Vote and you will make a difference.

In The Denver Broncos’ problem is going into bye week: lack of identity, what matters to them is winning and staying focused throughout their season. The team say’s “we need to police ourselves”. Which means they need to discipline themselves because their “coaches can’t do everything”. This article matters to me because it tells me how the Denver Broncos are doing. The Broncos are my favorite team and I want to know how they’re doing in practice and games. The article matters so much because they need to win, and they were right, they do need to get their head in the game. This and other articles about the Broncos matters to the world. These articles might not affect the whole world but at least in the United States it does. This article is important because it tells other teams how the Broncos are doing. It also tells football fans how their team and other teams are doing. Football is a sport that is most liked in the United States and it relates throughout the U.S by fans, teams, people, news paper, news, internet, and T.V shows. Overall the Broncos are doing awesome and other teams and fans should be scared.

Darrent Williams the Broncos corner back was killed on January 1, 2007. Willie Clark was accused of shooting Darrent in a limousine on that date. The judges and court rulers said “he didn’t speak at all on the two-minute court appearance”. He was being held in a Federal jail in Englewood and brought to court on October 30. Clark was indicted on 39 counts and was trialed for first-degree murder for shooting Darrent Williams along with fifteen others including the driver. Two others that were riding with Darrent were also injured.

We need less crimes in the world and everyone could do that by thinking how will it improve them, how would the innocent victim feel? and why are you doing that crime?

Machines are using us PLN1

Notes: One paragraph response of what matters In the video machines are using us by Michael Wesch the people of today all around the world use machines such as computers. People use web browsers such as google or aol. The computers/machines were taught to do certain things kind of how we/us humans have learned to use and work with these machines, which makes us who we are today. The big question I think though is if we are the machines/computers or are we using them. What matters to Michael is the people of today that are using the machines without realizing how far we've come from technology.
